Louis Vuitton Cup - Flights 8 and 9

Today has been a really exciting day. BMW ORACLE Racing remains top and unbeaten after racing against two of the italian teams, Mascalzone Latino and +39 Challenge. Meanwhile what was initially the favourite to challenge the Alinghi in for the America’s Cup, the Emirates Team New Zealand once again left everyone with a LARGE doubt as to whether they are really upto it after being cunningly outwit in todays second flight against Lunna Rosa. Before starting they were penalized for crossing the start line before time giving them a really dificult race ahead, which they weren’t able to remount.
The current standings leav everything open as to which three boats will be joining the almost qualified BMW ORACLE.
Tomorrow, weather permiting will be the last 2 flights of the Round Robin 1, and then we should see clearly which four teams have done their homework the best and stand most chances of going through to the semi-finals.
